Associate Director, AI/ML Engineering

Role: Associate Director of AI/ML Engineering within biopharma, focused on developing state-of-the-art AI/ML tools to advance drug discovery, particularly in target and biomarker identification and disease mechanisms. Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable AI/ML pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams of computational biologists, data scientists, and engineers, and providing strategic technical support. Qualifications: PhD in a related STEM field with 4+ years or a Master's with 7+ years, or a Bachelor's with 11+ years of experience; proficiency in Python, Torch, AWS, MLFlow, Docker, GitHub, and CI/CD practices; experience with transformer models, representation learning, and full SDLC of Python packages; strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset. Preferred: experience with multi-omics, imaging data, Claude Code, Databricks, GCP, and cloud ML platforms. High-Value: focus on life sciences applications, AI/ML infrastructure development, and collaboration within a matrix environment. Work setup: hybrid in the US, no travel required.
