Role Summary

Associate Director Accounting โ€“ Responsible for North America GL accounting and reporting. Lead the GL accounting team activities and provide accurate and timely information to management and corporate Finance, including supervision of related GL accounting staff. Additional responsibilities as necessitated by business activities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closings of Teva USA and subsidiaries. Responsibilities include preparation and review of journal entries, preparation of working papers/schedules, review of all schedules and reconciliations, departmental analysis, and internal consolidation. Prior experience with intercompany reporting as well as FX transactions is strongly preferred.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, automation opportunities and drive continued efficiencies.
  • Supervise and review the North American consolidation of Teva USA and its subsidiaries. Provide all quarterly analyses and disclosure forms with Corporate Accounting. Participate in the preparation and review of quarterly flux analyses.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting team, other subsidiaries, and departments to provide information as requested and to resolve accounting issues. Perform technical accounting research and work with Corporate Accounting on the related impact to the North America financials. Work with Teva sites globally and with Corporate Accounting; strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Investigate and resolve issues within the GL team; assist other stakeholders with questions. Compile data and perform financial analyses with other departments.
  • Supervise direct reports on the GL Accounting team. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and drive ongoing process improvements to ensure efficiency.
  • Participate in reviewing and adopting new technical accounting standards and developments, including researching impact of new guidance.
  • Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Participate in innovative technology selections.
  • Interact with external and internal auditors to support annual and quarterly reviews; maintain SOX compliance documentation for all areas of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned, such as preparation of statutory financial statements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting or related field required
  • CPA License or MBA is preferred
  • 8+ years accounting and/or auditing experience, with at least 4 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with SAP
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience leading/supervising staff
  • Knowledge and experience in US GAAP required
