Specific Job Responsibilities
- Provide input into product development strategies and/or research or clinical development plans for assigned products/projects.
- Author clinical pharmacology plan(s) for one or more products.
- Lead and manage design and conduct of clinical pharmacology studies; lead cross-functional study teams.
- Design study protocols, data analysis, modeling and simulation plans.
- Lead protocol review discussions (scientific/procedural aspects).
- Implement and monitor clinical pharmacology studies with partners and study sites; address issues.
- Direct internal/external study partner activities and resources.
- Manage study timelines/resources for timely, accurate execution.
- Conduct PK-PD and related analyses; author documentation, data analysis/management plans, and presentations/literature.
- Analyze/interpret and author documents for clinical/regulatory submissions.
- Present project updates/milestones; support business development/due diligence as needed.
- Represent clinical pharmacology with regulatory agencies; anticipate trial problems and develop solutions.
- Ensure GCP and regulatory-compliant study conduct per Gilead SOPs.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s + 10 yrs OR Master’s + 8 yrs OR PhD/PharmD + 5 yrs.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- PhD or PharmD in pharma sciences/pharmacology/related.
- Strong communication; experience with WinNonlin or similar.
- Lead cross-functional teams; clinical pharmacology concept/protocol design; authoring development plans.
- Regulatory filings experience (strongly preferred); clinical publications/presentations.
- Fast learner; adaptable/flexible; knowledge of FDA/EMA, ICH, and GCP.
- Apply business acumen; travel when needed.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Bay Area: $195,670–$253,220. Other US locations: $177,905–$230,230.
- May include bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off; medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
