Associate Chemist - Mass Spec

Role: Associate Chemist in the Mass Spectrometry team, responsible for data review, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting. Focuses on qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic and inorganic samples, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with SOPs. Responsibilities include certifying LC/MS data, maintaining instrumentation (GC, GC-MS, HPLC, UPLC-MS/MS), diagnosing equipment issues, and supporting method development. Requirements: Bachelor's in Chemical/Biological sciences or Medical Technology; 2+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS certification; proficiency in analytical techniques and laboratory information systems. Preferred: 3+ months of clinical testing experience, ASCP or AMT certification. High-value biopharma specifics: Experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry; attention to detail, scientific knowledge, and troubleshooting skills vital for regulated lab environments. Work setup: Night shift (Thursday-Sunday, 10 pm-8:30 am), onsite in Burlington, NC; flexibility for overtime and additional shifts.
