The Position
Work to improve reliability of the process control systems to meet current and projected customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
- Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems
- Demonstrate systematic problem-solving
- Schedule and execute plans in coordination with operations schedules
- Own self-development; build understanding of automation applications/systems
- Adhere to automation standards; implement changes to automation-related specifications and maintenance plans
- Support Engineering Technicians
- Assist in coaching and training colleagues and stakeholders
- Operate with a quality-first mindset
- Assist in implementing process changes and investigating process deviations
- Work with operations to identify process gaps and focus on continuous improvement
- Support corporate/PS/local IT/local stakeholder initiatives and projects
- Govern behavior based on the Novo Nordisk Way
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements; other accountabilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in engineering or related field (accredited university) required
- May consider: Associateโs degree + 2 years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, and/or packaging systems (required)
- May consider: High school/GED + 4 years engineering experience (required)
- Preferred: 2+ years engineering experience; technical/process/functional knowledge
- Knowledge/skills: PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), Historian; general controls a plus; planning/organization/follow-up a plus
