Role Summary

Associate Production Technician in Durham, NC, manufacturing oncology products and vaccines. Individual contributor responsible for manufacturing activities in a GMP environment, supporting sterile operations and process steps.

Responsibilities

  • Perform media formulations, sterile component preparation, process equipment operations, visual product inspections, and aseptic harvest/filling/sealing operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of skills and inclusive behavior norms; maximize team potential.
  • Perform production operations independently with limited coaching; complete daily work assignments and coordinate with team members.
  • Accurately document GMP activities related to Production operations.
  • Execute liquid media formulation activities; perform sterile component preparation for aseptic operations.
  • Conduct visual inspection of product vials; perform aseptic harvest/filling/sealing for parenteral biologics.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations by understanding SOPs, company policies, safety/environmental regulations, and GMPs.
  • Gain knowledge of production process; qualify to operate process equipment.
  • Enter SAP transactions for process instruction sheets related to Production operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Pharmaceutical industry experience and aseptic cleanroom environment experience; demonstrated ability to gown into aseptic manufacturing areas.
  • Technical: Computer literacy (MS Office); strong teamwork, independent working capability, and conflict resolution; ability to manage multiple activities and risks; strong oral and written communication; ability to work extended hours; TB titer and Chest X-ray clearance required.
  • Schedule: Day shift with weekends and some holidays.
  • Physical/medical: Chest X-ray and medical clearance blood test required.
