About the Role
The Associate Director, Pharmacometrics leads pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) modeling and simulation (M&S) efforts driving clinical development for Neurocrineβs small- and large-molecule programs. Provides strategic PK/PD methodology expertise, performs/oversees pharmacometric analyses, and communicates findings to cross-functional stakeholders. Contributes to the design and execution of the Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics Development Plan.
Your Contributions (include, But Are Not Limited To)
- Lead pharmacometrics tasks and serve as function lead for assigned clinical development program; recommend modeling/simulation strategy
- Independently conduct and report population PK, PK/PD, and exposure-response analyses to support dose selection, trial design, and regulatory submissions
- Oversee design and reporting of M&S analyses conducted by external CROs
- Contribute M&S sections for internal decision boards and regulatory documents/interactions
- Prepare posters, publications, and presentations in quantitative pharmacology/pharmacometrics
- Mentor colleagues and may direct critical projects
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, or equivalent preferred (PK/PK-PD modeling and simulation focus) with 5+ years post degree in drug development OR MS with 8+ years Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry experience
- Expert knowledge of early and late-stage M&S
- In-depth knowledge of clinical drug development and Clinical Pharmacology regulatory submission components (IND/NDA)
- Proficient with NONMEM, R, and WinNonlin
- Strong communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking, influencing skills
- Leadership/mentoring skills; strong project management and ability to meet multiple deadlines
Additional skills
- Experience preparing NDA/MAA summaries of population modeling (highly beneficial)
- Ability to work in cross-functional, matrix environments
