Role Summary

Associate Medical Director, Cardiac Imaging. Role focused on strategic development and growth of the Cardiac Imaging portfolio, partnering across R&D, Global Strategic Marketing, Health Economics and Market Access, and Clinical Affairs to generate evidence and support launches and publications.

Responsibilities

  • Support the generation of preclinical and clinical evidence strategies to support clinical claims and characterize product capabilities and workflows in collaboration with R&D, marketing, and other team members.
  • Partner with Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs in the development and execution of product and/or procedural evidence generation (including company-sponsored studies and IIS/RWE) and dissemination strategies.
  • Support early product introduction to the market by supporting launches, case support, and internal/external training.
  • Provide medical oversight of publication strategy for selected marketed products in collaboration with the Clinical Science team.
  • Prepare and manage presentations and manuscripts around clinical data and medical/scientific information, including hands-on management of publications and timelines.
  • Optimize communication with key customers/KOLs and accounts by working with Medical Scientific Programs, Account Management, and Sales teams.
  • Assist in regional and local educational initiatives aligned with corporate and regional goals.
  • Gather insights from the healthcare community on Cardiac Imaging products to guide R&D and service provision.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: degree in science, engineering, or medicine (e.g., MD, DO, PhD, RN, MSc, BSc, etc.) is required.
  • Experience and Skills:
    • Minimum 7 years in medical affairs/related functions required.
    • Minimum 3 years in echocardiography clinical experience required.
    • Structural heart imaging experience (e.g., transesophageal or intracardiac echocardiography, CT) required.
    • Clinical experience with medical devices, knowledge of trial design, evidence generation, adverse event reporting, and transcatheter interventional practices required.
    • Experience in Cardiac imaging product development; structural heart imaging experience preferred.
    • Experience supporting clinical cases and proctoring preferred.
    • Strong influencing/negotiation skills; ability to collaborate in a matrix environment.
    • Demonstrated success in medical data generation, interpretation, and publications preferred.
    • Strong scientific communication skills; Good Clinical Practices and SOPs knowledge.
    • Self-starter with ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work independently; reliable and adaptable.
    • Willingness to travel up to 50% for testing, product initiation, and conferences.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
