Job Description
In this role, you will develop and execute strategies for the global logistics category to lower total cost of ownership and increase overall value, and identify business demand requirements to deliver the Procurement value proposition across a broad portfolio supporting Global Logistics.

Responsibilities
- Consult with cross-functional teams to lead transportation sourcing events and competitive bidding.
- Develop category strategies to achieve cost savings and improve quality and service levels (e.g., standardization, supplier consolidation).
- Collaborate across Global Logistics functions/regions to identify requirements, projected demand, and support strategic planning and action setting.
- Partner with senior leadership to define performance metrics and supplier objectives (quality, reliability, innovation, cost).
- Integrate business diversity and responsible procurement into the value proposition with Supplier Risk, Inclusion, and Sustainability functions.
- Develop and expand carrier relationships/capabilities via supply base segmentation to improve capacity and service levels.
- Build tender roadmaps and multi-year cost improvement pipelines using spend information, forecasts, and savings targets.
- Classify suppliers and manage relationships to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with Planning/Logistics to optimize network storage and freight.
- Ensure early Procurement engagement in budgeting to meet financial goals.
- Drive year-over-year improvements in key metrics (spend-under-contract/strategy/management).
- Lead sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Monitor/report procurement and logistics KPIs; ensure cost of ownership targets and service level agreements.
- Drive continuous improvement and supplier development using freight spend reviews, market trends, and performance data.
- Use procurement e-tools, ERP systems, and analytics to automate processes and support decisions.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 10 years’ experience
- OR Master’s degree + 8 years’ experience
- OR PhD + 2 years’ experience

Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years in supply chain management/business/finance (or related) with DEI, procurement/supplier management, or corporate strategy
- Experience in logistics procurement/category management/supply chain leadership (transportation/warehousing)
- Strategic, data-driven decision-making; negotiation; risk management; sustainability/ESG awareness; technology proficiency; strong communication
- Highly analytical; uses data to identify trends/opportunities
- Knowledge of procurement principles/best practices/industry standards
- Skilled negotiator balancing commercial objectives and supplier relationships
- Extensive procurement/spend systems data analysis
