Job Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate internal dosimetry and quantitative imaging analysis for radiopharmaceutical imaging/therapeutic agent discovery and development.
- Initiate, design, and execute imaging strategies for preclinical and clinical studies (protocols, imaging manuals, statistical analysis plans, trial reporting).
- Perform advanced dosimetric analysis and modeling from imaging modalities (PET, SPECT, CT, 3D autoradiography), including kinetic, compartmental, and physiologically-based pharmacokinetic modeling.
- Oversee/optimize image data quality control (standardization, calibration, QA per industry guidelines/literature).
- Innovate and implement imaging technologies, reconstruction algorithms, and modeling approaches for diagnostic/therapeutic improvement, including novel radioisotopes (e.g., alpha-emitters).
- Manage relationships with vendors, CROs, external investigators, and government agencies.
- Provide technical support, training, and problem-solving to cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to regulatory activities/claims strategies and advancement of medical physics knowledge.
- Communicate imaging/dosimetry topics to scientific and regulatory stakeholders.
- Organize/prioritize work and deliver on corporate timelines with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Medical Physics, Nuclear Medicine, Electrical Engineering, or related field; didactic training in dosimetry-enabling image quantification and/or RPT biodistribution, kinetics, and dose modeling.
- 7+ yearsβ experience in molecular imaging and RPT dose modeling research or 7+ RPT-specific publications.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD.
- Experience with radiopharmaceutical diagnostics/therapeutics in oncology; alpha-emitters experience strongly desired.
- 2+ years industry experience in a cross-functional matrix environment.
Skills And Qualifications
- Subject matter expertise in radiopharmaceutical development (theranostic pairs/alpha-emitter technologies), internal dosimetry and/or pharmacokinetic modeling; extensive instrumentation and reconstruction experience (PET, SPECT, autoradiography).
- Proven ability to design/analyze dosimetry data and support translational preclinical-to-clinical studies with data QC/standardization aligned to global guidelines.
- Coding/software proficiency (e.g., Python, Matlab, R, Torch, GATE, SAAM II, MIRDcalc/OLINDA, etc.) and/or deep-learning image reconstruction.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, lead with ethics/integrity, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills; travel up to 10β15%.
