Job Summary
The Assoc. Director, Medical Affairs Training is responsible for the implementation and execution of training programs for Medical Affairs. Supports training requests from cross-functional collaborators. Enhances Medical Affairs colleaguesโ€™ skills through training creation and delivery, in collaboration with Medical Affairs Leadership and cross-functional collaborators. Training includes onboarding, product training, skills development, virtual training, and advanced training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver training programs (in-office or remotely) for assigned therapeutic areas to build Medical Affairs capabilities.
- Collaborate with Medical Directors on needs analysis to align training with global/regional medical strategies and legal/compliance/regulatory requirements; lead medical training including new hire, virtual, product/disease, skills, advanced training, and training on new/existing initiatives and field materials (e.g., internal journal clubs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional and medical leadership to improve training programs, structure, and resources; analyze, assess, and report training impact and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with medical teams to develop external communication materials for field teams; lead related training (e.g., new publications, congress materials, medical website content).
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications
- Advanced degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD), preferably in life sciences.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience with a successful track record in medical affairs; management experience preferred.
- 2+ years training/teaching experience; adult learning principles and distance learning knowledge preferred.
- Demonstrated accountability and maturity; able to model company values.
- Sound understanding of rare/orphan disease market.
- Ability to communicate clinical benefits using clinical data in external presentations.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; experience working with cross-functional and medical leadership.
- Strong facilitation skills; ability to present to large groups at regional/national meetings.
- Strong project management and coaching skills (constructive, timely feedback).
- Valid driverโ€™s license; ability to travel as needed.
