Assoc Director, IT Data and AI

Role: Associate Director Data & AI Delivery Lead in Clinical Development, responsible for end-to-end technical delivery of AI/ML solutions supporting clinical operations, data management, safety, and regulatory functions. Key responsibilities include managing Agile delivery, overseeing scalable solutions on Databricks and AWS, shaping technical standards, maintaining documentation, monitoring performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance (GxP). Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years or Master’s with 8+ years in relevant experience; hands-on expertise in data engineering, data science, AI/ML architectures, and cloud platforms; experience leading AI/ML projects in Agile environments; strong stakeholder management skills. Preferred: experience in clinical development (trial operations, data management, safety), GxP environments, and familiarity with clinical systems like EDC. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, vendor relationships, and delivering impactful solutions aligned with enterprise AI strategies in a hybrid Raleigh, NC setting. High-value biopharma specifics include supporting clinical development in areas such as HIV, viral hepatitis, COVID-19, or cancer, with a focus on scalable AI solutions, regulatory compliance, and clinical data platform integration.
