Role: Associate Director leading a team of scientists in vaccine analytical projects supporting vaccine quality control labs. Objectives include overseeing instrument and method replacements, validation, transfer, qualification, and modernization initiatives to ensure compliant and sustainable testing. Responsibilities encompass people and project leadership, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration across Quality Laboratories, manufacturing, regulatory, and external partners. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years in vaccine analytical testing, QC, or method lifecycle management; experience leading scientific teams; GMP Quality Control background, especially supporting commercial vaccines; expertise in analytical method validation, transfer, and technical change management; strong project management, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred: experience supporting vaccine testing in a commercial QC environment; knowledge of bioassays, immunoassays, chromatography, or microbiological methods; familiarity with deviations, investigations, change control, and regulatory support. High-Value: vaccine analytical testing, GMP environment, method lifecycle management, instrument/technology modernization. Work setup: based in West Point, PA, with 10% travel.
