Role Summary
Senior technical/product leader for pilot plant and manufacturing-facing research automation platforms. Own plant-side automation and OT infrastructure strategy, architecture, delivery, and operational excellence, including system integration, cybersecurity, and regulated operations. End-to-end ownership of plant automation technology (concept/design through validation, deployment, support, and lifecycle).

Key Responsibilities
- Define and own strategy for pilot plant and plant-facing research automation platforms
- Act as technical lead/single point of accountability for capital end project plant automation deployments
- Translate business/scientific/manufacturing needs into roadmaps and execution plans
- Lead OT architecture, infrastructure design, and system integration across plant environments
- Ensure secure, compliant OT networking aligned to ISA/IEC 62443
- Integrate plant automation systems with enterprise platforms (PI, MES, data platforms)
- Lead/approve system design, architecture decisions, and technical standards
- Manage capital/non-capital project execution (scope, estimates, delivery timelines)
- Ensure SDLC, change control, validation, and GxP/GmP compliance
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and vendors; lead incidents/root-cause/remediation
- Drive continuous improvement (obsolescence/modernization) and mentor R3 engineers/contractors
- Communicate status, risks, and roadmap to leadership

Qualifications
- 8+ years in automation, OT infrastructure, or plant automation systems
- Strong experience with DeltaV, PLCs, Ignition, SCADA, MES
- OT networking knowledge (firewalls, VLANs, segmentation)
- Experience with virtualized OT environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience integrating plant systems with enterprise IT platforms
- Leadership in regulated (GMP/GxP) environments; strong SDLC/validation/change management
- Ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives and cross-functional teams

Education
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Automation, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Masterโ€™s preferred
