Associate Director, Primary Market Research (Hybrid) — Anti-viral Influenza (MK-1406) and future assets.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prioritize, manage, and execute primary market research work (pre- and post-launch) for assigned franchise/product areas.
- Lead primary market research projects: define business questions, information needs, research/analysis plans; understand customers, competitors, and market developments.
- Apply secondary data/syndicated sources to inform and integrate findings into actionable insights.
- Design effective research studies using quantitative/qualitative methods; innovate approaches as needed.
- Manage research project budgets and vendor partners; assess vendor capabilities and analytic risks.
- Present research rationale/hypotheses/methodology and ensure objectives are met and communicated.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (marketing, market access, sales/promotion, forecasting, advertising agency, R&D labs) to integrate insights into decision-making.
Position Qualifications:
- Required: BA/BS.
- Minimum 8 years pharmaceutical marketing/market research experience (incl. market research/analytics, sales, forecasting, access & pricing, marketing or competitive intelligence).
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; quantitative + qualitative research expertise; storytelling and consultative stakeholder management; ability to prioritize multiple requests.
