Role: Senior Information Architect leading the design and standardization of scientific data across pre-clinical discovery and manufacturing process development in biopharma. Objectives: improve data quality, context, and usability to support research innovation and manufacturing. Responsibilities: collaborate with scientists, process engineers, and IT to define ontologies, data models, and controls; integrate industry-standard ontologies like BioAssay Ontology; develop best practices for data capture and consumption; embed standards within product teams; enhance data harmonization from raw outputs to GxP-compliant manufacturing data lakes. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masterβs in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or related; 5+ years as an Information Architect in biopharma; expertise in scientific ontologies, semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL), and knowledge graphs; strong domain knowledge in pre-clinical workflows, manufacturing data, and labs (LIMS, ELN, CDS); proficiency in data modeling tools and ontology management platforms. High-Value: biologics or small molecules, early-stage development or manufacturing, GxP compliance, cross-functional collaboration with R&D and IT, data architecture, and AI initiatives. Work Setup: hybrid in US, with ~10% travel.
