Role: Associate Director Estimator supporting capital project planning and estimating within the biopharma industry, with a focus on optimizing project value and execution. Responsibilities: lead estimating efforts for projects from feasibility to funding and startup, prepare Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates, validate and reconcile estimates from internal and external sources, conduct risk analysis and contingency planning, support benchmarking and cost database maintenance, and collaborate on project budgeting and cost management. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 10+ years of estimating, project control, or related experience; strong knowledge of estimating processes, capital management, and financial practices; excellent communication and analytical skills; willingness to travel up to 30%, with ability to work remotely. Preferred: experience with AI, Lean methodologies (Target Value Delivery, Last Planner), Estimating systems, and market condition monitoring, along with certifications like Lean/Six Sigma or familiarity with Monte Carlo risk analysis software (@RISK). High-Value: biopharma project scope across drug substance, drug product, lab, and large/small molecules; projects ranging from under $5MM to over $1B; emphasis on cost estimation, project controls, and strategic planning within a regulated, GxP environment. Work setup: hybrid, with travel requirements.
