Assoc. Dir., Engineering

Role: Associate Director Estimator supporting capital projects within the biopharma industry, focusing on cost estimation and project control from feasibility through startup. Responsibilities: lead estimating efforts for projects up to $1B+, prepare TIC estimates including schedules and staffing, validate and review estimates from internal and external sources, conduct risk analysis and contingency planning, support benchmarking and cost database maintenance, and assist in front-end project planning and funding. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Engineering or related field; 10+ years in estimating, project control, or capital management, with extensive knowledge of pharma/biotech project types (drug substance, drug product, labs, large/small molecules) across R&D, Human Health, and Animal Health sectors. Skills: strong analytical, communication, leadership, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to travel up to 30%. Preferred: AI fluency, experience with Lean methodologies, estimating systems, Monte Carlo risk analysis software, and strategic planning. High-value: focus on pharma/biotech project estimation, large-scale capital projects, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and remote work with some site travel.
