About The Role
Independently collaborates with organizational stakeholders focused on Pipeline Marketing and supports commercial planning efforts by providing unbiased, objective, actionable analyses. Researches and analyzes products, markets, and competition; summarizes data into insights and recommendations for cross-functional teams and occasionally senior leadership.
Your Contributions (include, But Are Not Limited To)
- Develops the commercial analytics plan for assigned area(s)/project(s), manages related projects, and collects/manages data to support the plan.
- Works with Pipeline Marketing and adjacent cross-functional teams to define goals, metrics, and a measurement plan to monitor and refine tactics.
- Synthesizes complex information from primary and secondary sources to identify opportunities and develop conclusions/recommendations for better business decisions, customer segment understanding, competitive threat identification, and opportunity/risk detection.
- Leads peers and junior team members without formal authority; motivates execution of ad hoc analyses to quickly answer questions and drive insight for brand stakeholders.
- Manages development of the analytics and market research budget and all approved budgets.
- Serves as a consultative, trusted advisor to Commercial leadership and day-to-day partner with the Pipeline Marketing team.
- Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors for secondary data/analytics and primary market research workstreams.
- Partners with Marketing and Commercial Insights & Analytics to synthesize insights across data sources and integrate analytical/market research outputs.
- Regularly communicates analytical findings and impacts on business strategy and tactics to strategic partners.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree and 10+ years of secondary analytics, primary market research, and/or competitive intelligence experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry OR
- Masterβs and 8+ years OR
- PhD and 5+ years
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to integrate secondary data, primary research, and competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations.
- Strong verbal and written communication; proven cross-functional collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent working knowledge of methodologies for collecting/analyzing secondary data.
- Hands-on knowledge of biopharmaceutical market data, including anonymized patient-level data and sources related to access and reimbursement.
- Understanding of statistical modeling/optimization and statistical analyses of quantitative research.
- Strategic understanding of pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and access/reimbursement to identify market drivers, trends, and issues.
- Expert consulting skills (consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, translating solutions to business value).
- Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively (oral and written).
- Ability to evaluate and manage vendors.
- Drives workstreams on highly complex business/scientific problems; strong project management and leadership.
- Independently anticipates issues and recommends improvements; critical thinking and judgment to plan and implement solutions with broad impact.
- Independently meets multiple deadlines; excellent organizational skills managing multiple large projects.
Benefits (as stated)
- Annual base salary range: $173,900.00β$238,000.00
- Annual bonus target: 30% of earned base salary; eligibility for equity-based long-term incentive program
