Asset Strategy Leader (ASL) serves as the matrix leader with overall, enterprise wide accountability for an asset from discovery to end of life cycle.

Responsibilities:
- Chairs an Asset Strategy Team (AST) and ensures alignment across Integrated Evidence, Value & Access, Brand, Label & Regulatory, and Product Presentation & Device.
- Leads development of an integrated cross-functional product development and commercialization strategy and maintains primary responsibility for ensuing deliverables (asset and brand strategy).
- Builds collaborative relationships with governance team members and executives; engages with PCM Governance at milestones and as issues/opportunities arise.
- Reviews and analyzes emerging data to drive AST recommendations, highlighting opportunities, risks, and mitigations.
- Ensures appropriate resourcing and budget adherence; champions incremental resources when needed.
- Validates program viability (scientific and commercial), sets prospective Go/No-Go decision points, and presents data to PCM Governance and senior management.
- Maintains alignment via empowerment/delegation; coaches/mentors; optimizes timely, high-quality asset value.
- Represents AST with external parties (e.g., advisory boards, regulatory interactions) requiring cross-functional input.
- Monitors competitive landscape and stays current via conferences, medical literature, and training.
- Typically leads early phase assets (Phase I or II) or partners with an experienced ASL.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PhD, MBA) highly preferred.
- 5+ years (10+ preferred) in pharmaceutical/biotech with deep expertise in drug development and/or commercialization.
- Strong strategic thinking, facilitative/executive leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, preferably global.
- Ability to exercise objective judgment; obtain stakeholder advice to make decisions under uncertainty.
- Ability to lead through influence; delegate accountability/decision-making.
- Ability to challenge respectfully and manage conflict.
- Excellent oral and written English communication.
