Field Reimbursement Regional Director (Rare Conditions)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a national team of Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs)
- Partner with the Director, Field Reimbursement Strategy and Operations Engagement on strategies/tactics; serve as a functional subject matter expert
- Partner with PSP and Commercial Operations to monitor account activity vs. goals and provide updates via Quarterly Business Reviews
- Ensure activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Ascendis policies
- Develop KPIs/MBOs for the team
- Plan, direct, implement, and oversee FRM activities for a specific U.S. geographical region
- Ensure FRMs are trained on and compliantly use approved promotional materials and systems
- Direct FRM team education of healthcare providers and staff on product coverage, patient support enrollment, and patient support offerings
- Monitor/oversee FRM plans to address changes in coverage/reimbursement affecting patient access
- Drive initiatives to improve customer engagement, education, and advocacy
- Collaborate with FRM peers for alignment and consistent application of business rules and objectives
- Identify and facilitate sharing of best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners on strategic market access activities and customer account planning/engagements
- Ensure pull-through of reimbursement/access strategies for new product and/or indication launches
- Serve as subject matter expert on reimbursement/access in assigned geography
- Partner with Patient Support to ensure accurate coverage determinations and optimized enrollment processing
- Develop business plans through customer strategic analyses
- Collaborate with Sales leadership on local access strategy to achieve KPI goals
- Continuously improve patient access deliverables, services, and customer experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience (Qualifications)
- Bachelorโs degree
- 10+ yearsโ experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or related healthcare industry
- 5+ yearsโ experience with Specialty Pharmaceuticals/Biologics
- Progressive field leadership with demonstrated team management success
- Deep understanding and utilization of Specialty Pharmacy and third-party services
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance, patient confidentiality, product reimbursement, and access requirements
- Knowledge of regulations/laws protecting patient identifying information and policies pertaining to access offerings

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $220,000โ$225,000 (actual varies). Some roles may include company car/car allowance and commission/bonus eligibility.
