Role Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Molecular Science Liaisons, the AVP of Molecular Science Liaisons will establish and lead a team of Directors and Molecular Science Liaisons (MSLs). MSLs communicate the value of Caris Molecular Intelligence (CMI) to external clients, including physicians, scientists, and other stakeholders, primarily through face-to-face discussions with customers such as KOLs in oncology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the MSL team on a day-to-day basis and provide recommendations on national staffing plans
  • Create and coordinate training and enablement plans to ensure MSLs have up-to-date information on the company's technology
  • Track MSL activities and customer interactions
  • Serve as a conduit of information between the medical community and Caris Life Sciences to enhance patient care, research, clinical trials, and therapeutic approaches
  • Conduct medical and scientific education to increase Caris presence and market awareness
  • Present clinical data and educational materials to physician sites and conferences within an assigned region or nationally
  • Attend POA/Commercial meetings and other relationship development onsite meetings
  • Promote CMI to physician sites across the United States as required by Sales, POA, and Marketing
  • Support and present at molecular tumor board meetings
  • Stay current with scientific and technical literature in oncology for customer engagement
  • Assist with related duties and special projects for sales, POA, and marketing
  • Assist in field training contracted speakers as part of the Caris Speakerβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Bureau and act as a field trainer
  • Conduct regional speaking engagements with physicians to broaden CMI understanding
  • Participate in regional and national tradeshows and sales meetings to present data and educate clients
  • Provide commercial input/review of marketing materials to reflect current molecular landscape

Qualifications

  • Required: Doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D./D.O., PharmD) in a health-related biological science aligned with pharmacology, oncology, or molecular/cellular biology
  • Required: 3+ years of management experience in Medical Affairs or managing MSLs
  • Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet literacy
  • Preferred: Prior commercial experience in pharmaceutical or diagnostic industries or related health sciences
  • Preferred: Prior field experience with customers and sales organizations

Physical Demands

  • May require lifting of routine office supplies and use of standard office equipment

Additional Requirements

  • May be required to work holidays/weekends
  • Role involves frequent travel within an assigned geography (up to 80% travel)
