Role Summary
Area Rare Cardiac Specialist (ARCS) based in Tucson, AZ, will target healthcare providers across general cardiology within IDN/Health Systems and group practice accounts to execute ATTR-CM disease awareness. The role works closely with the Cardiac Account Specialist (CAS) to ensure seamless patient interactions throughout the journey and reports to the Area Business Manager (ABM). The ARCS will develop in-depth territory business plans using local market insights and approved resources to educate customers, build relationships, drive disease awareness, and accelerate patient starts while adhering to all company policies and applicable regulations. Geography includes Tucson, Albuquerque, and El Paso.
Responsibilities
- Account Planning Collaboration: Prioritize customer opportunities and projects to maximize impact; develop territory business objectives and define key performance metrics aligned to brand objectives; maintain active customer profiles and data sets; continually refine call planning based on local territory factors.
- Hybrid Execution / Advanced Selling Skills: Utilize advanced selling skills (e.g., PSSF); tailor messaging to customer needs; educate customers on ATTR-CM and related diagnostic procedures; demonstrate brand value; implement marketing educational programs; adapt messaging in a changing marketplace.
- Coordination: Coordinate with other customer-facing teams and subject matter experts to elevate the customer experience; collaborate with CAS and cross-functional account team members as appropriate.
- Demonstrates Business Acumen: Gather insights from customers, understand market dynamics, and apply data to local planning; prioritize resources to meet customer needs.

Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 3 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience.
- Required: Bachelor's Degree; OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate, and monitor the execution of Territory business plans.
- Required: Demonstrated history of strong teamwork / collaboration.
- Required: Strong analytical skills with a track record of applying market/customer insights to inform sales planning and execution; ability to assess customer needs and bring relevant tools/resources to drive performance.
- Required: Consistently follows and supports company policies.
- Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.
- Preferred: Rare Disease and/or Specialty Cardiovascular experience strongly preferred.
- Preferred: Product launch experience.
- Preferred: Hospital Sales experience.
- Preferred: Experience calling on large academic centers and hospital systems.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required; OR associate’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience (as listed above).
Additional Requirements
- Travel: Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary; 2-3 overnights per month.
- Physical/Mental: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
