Role Summary
The Area Rare Cardiac Specialist (ARCS) will target healthcare providers across general cardiology within IDN/Health Systems and group practice accounts, with primary responsibility for executing ATTR-CM disease awareness. The role works in close partnership with the Cardiac Account Specialist (CAS) to ensure seamless customer interactions throughout the patient journey and reports to the Area Business Manager (ABM). The ARCS will develop in-depth territory plans, leverage approved marketing resources, and build relationships to drive patient recognition and accelerate new patient starts.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize customer opportunities and projects to maximize impact using all available data and ABM guidance.
- Develop territory business objectives and define key performance metrics aligned to brand objectives; strive to meet or exceed goals.
- Maintain active customer profiles, plans, and data sets using planning resources.
- Continuously evaluate and refine call planning to optimize schedule based on local territory factors such as access and geographic span.
- Utilize advanced selling skills and approaches and understand the complex selling environment within each local market the ARC overlays to support.
- Use approved brand messaging to align with customer priorities, tailoring messaging by segment or individual needs; adapt messaging in complex environments.
- Partner with customers to connect Pfizer resources and services to better meet patient needs; grow and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of local market factors and the ATTR-CM disease area, diagnostic procedures, and relevant product profiles; educate customers to raise disease awareness and support patient identification and treatment.
- Demonstrate brand value as a solution to customer and patient needs; implement approved educational programs and deliver compliant messaging.
- Demonstrate adaptability to changing market conditions and act with initiative when details are incomplete.
- Coordinate with other customer-facing teams to elevate the customer experience; collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional account teams as appropriate.
- Proactively gather insights from customers and apply market data to anticipate opportunities and threats; use data to inform local planning.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and continuous improvement; be coachable and contribute to a culture of learning.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience.
- Required: Bachelor's Degree; OR an associateโs degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate, and monitor execution of territory business plans.
- Required: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Required: Strong analytical skills with a track record of applying market/customer insights to inform sales planning and driving performance; ability to assess customer needs and bring relevant tools/resources.
- Required: Consistently follows and supports company policies.
- Required: Valid US driver's license and driving record in compliance with company standards; a DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you.
- Preferred: Rare Disease and/or Specialty Cardiovascular experience; product launch experience; hospital sales experience; experience calling on large academic centers and hospital systems.

Additional Requirements
- Travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
- 2โ3 overnights may be required per month.
