Operations
Organization and Position Overview
- Serve as site subject matter expert (SME) for Logistics Buildings, Tank Farm, and associated ancillary systems within FUME (Facilities, Utilities, Maintenance & Engineering).
- Support design, construction, commissioning, qualification, start-up, and operational readiness for logistics/tank farm systems for the Lilly Medicine Foundry. Once operational, maintain systems in a compliant, reliable, cost-effective, fit-for-use state; drive continuous improvement; manage annual operating/capital expenditures; serve as single point of contact.

Responsibilities
- Provide SME technical expertise for assigned systems (e.g., warehouse/logistics infrastructure, electrical distribution, process gas distribution, cold/freezer rooms, sampling/milling/dispensing suites, fume hoods, downflow booths, safety showers/eyewash, AHUs, WFI, waste tanks, compressed/breathing air, tank farm, aqueous waste/neutralization, solvent tank farm, N2/CO2/O2, truck unloading/pumping, fire suppression foam).
- Ensure alignment with industry requirements and Lilly standards; support risk assessments (FMEA).
- Lead/participate in projects/changes (design, IV/OV/PQ, user representation, local delivery); develop URS/test cases; develop SOPs and documentation.
- Daily operations support: monitor KPIs/compliance, manage deviations/change controls/CAPAs, implement maintenance/reliability practices, troubleshoot failures, lead RCA, consult internal customers, ensure preventive/corrective maintenance completion, support inspections/investigations.

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Chemical Engineering preferred).
- 5+ years in building/utility/tank farm/logistics systems in an FDA-regulated industry.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; no visa sponsorship.

- Start-up experience; agile engineering; installation/commissioning/qualification; manufacturing/chemical plant utilities; engineering project management; CMMS/UBMS/QBMS; strong Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/UMS/data historian skills; cGMP knowledge; ability to train/mentor.

- Temporary: Carmel, Indiana. Permanent: Lilly Medicine Foundry, Lebanon, Indiana.
- Anticipated base pay: $66,000–$171,600; eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (401(k), pension, vacation, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, leave, well-being).
