Main Responsibilities
- Grow portfolio share and revenue to consistently deliver on product goals.
- Serve as a therapeutic area expert; position and differentiate products effectively.
- Collaborate with field stakeholders (e.g., Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access, strategic account managers, Hospital business managers) to proactively address customer needs.
- Identify market dynamics and trends; develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives to ensure account success within assigned geography.
- Use account and territory data and partner with internal data specialists to generate insights that help HCPs operate more effectively.
- Determine optimal ABM strategy for HCPs in an agile way using AI and other digital tools.
- Drive results by identifying key opportunities and developing strategic business plans to increase product utilization and grow territory business.
- Understand and differentiate portfolio contracting options and competitive offerings through financial presentations.
- Execute operational requirements under a buy/bill model, including complex pricing analysis and price calculator usage, product shipping, monitoring contract compliance, and securing contract amendments.
- Adapt to changing sales methodologies, including remote selling.
- Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Maximize geographic territory budget to support strategy execution and business growth.
- Participate in and help lead initiatives supporting sales success (e.g., congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience with business-to-business knowledge.
- Broad understanding of the healthcare environment, decision-making processes, and market trends, with a track record of accessing decision makers.
- Demonstrated success in business-to-business environments.
- Strong commercial business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.
- Ability to operate in a hybrid environment and determine the optimal HCP selling model.
- Omnichannel experience; ability to engage customers through appropriate channels using insights.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and data analytics to uncover actionable insights.
- Passion for science; proactive learning about disease state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
- Ability to execute tactical initiatives, provide ongoing feedback, and prioritize multiple products.
- Self-directed, organized, and strong execution/planning skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license; eligible for insurance; able to safely operate a vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree.
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales experience with business-to-business experience.
- 2+ years of account management experience.
- Enhanced digital acumen.
- Strong clinical acumen.
- Experience in Market Access, Pricing, Contracting, or Finance.
- Proficient with MS Office and customer management databases.
Travel
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
