Area Business Manager - Pulmonology - Dayton, OH

Main Responsibilities
- Engage pulmonology customers in the assigned territory and deliver clinically focused selling messages to introduce, launch, and grow brand/share and revenue for asthma and COPD.
- Collaborate with field stakeholders (e.g., medical science liaisons, reimbursement/market access, thought leader liaisons and other counterparts) to address customer needs, identify market trends, develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives, and ensure account success.
- Build relationships with pulmonary experts and relevant healthcare personnel, as directed.
- Identify opportunities and develop strategic business plans to increase product utilization and grow territory business.
- Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Maximize territory budget to execute strategies and grow business.
- Participate in and help lead sales success initiatives (e.g., congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).
- Own business opportunities in the geography, including calling on large group practices and key targets.
- Establish relationships with thought leaders in the assigned territory.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college/university.
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales experience.
- Ability to learn and apply technical/scientific product information.
- Experience working with specialty pharmacies or Hubs.
- Ability to travel as necessary within the assigned territory.
- Track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity/compliance.
- Ability to operate as a team player.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years selling subcutaneous self-injectable (or office-administered IV) biologics.
- 2 years pulmonary disease or related immunology selling experience (e.g., atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, MS, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis) strongly preferred.
- 2 years calling on Pulmonologists.
- Co-promotion experience.
- Advanced clinically-based selling skills.
- Results-oriented with proven product launch success.
- In-servicing/training experience for office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Passion for science; proactive learning on disease state/treatment trends.
- Highly organized with strong account management skills.
