Role Summary
The Area Business Manager (ABM) for Migraine leads a 9β12 person neuroscience sales team in the Evansville, IN area, delivering sales results, coaching, and ensuring compliant, evidence-based engagement with customers. The role partners with marketing and cross-functional teams to execute strategic plans and develop talent, with responsibility for district-level budgets and performance. Travel to district and area meetings is required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise operations of the Area Team, including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management of 9β12 NHSP.
- Ensure full compliance of selling activities with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate strong presentation, organization, administrative, and communication skills and model professionalism.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Area Team, manage budgets at the district level, and monitor performance to achieve business potential.
- Plan, organize, and monitor performance; ensure effective use of promotional materials and measure implementation in the field.
- Perform proactive data analysis to identify market trends and opportunities; identify and pursue key account development and opportunities impacting Area and National business.
- Build relationships with customers (including KOLs) and key stakeholders, and engage using appropriate content.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer needs while ensuring compliance guardrails.
- Coach NHSPs to connect with cross-functional colleagues and leverage digital tools.
- Collaborate with Marketing on key strategies and objectives during the Operational Plan process; operate digital and virtual tools proficiently.
- Foster growth mindset and a strong team culture with ongoing feedback and continuous improvement of the customer experience.
- Establish team goals and hold team members accountable.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree.
- Required: Previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience with at least 3β5 years of leadership across peer and customer groups.
- Required: Ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change, and deliver on Pfizer business imperatives.
- Required: Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze and draw conclusions using sales data and call reporting software/applications.
- Required: Travel, including overnight travel, as needed to develop internal and external relationships.
- Required: Valid US driver's license and driving record in compliance with company standards; any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you.
- Required: Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee work to achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Preferred: MBA or relevant graduate degree.
- Preferred: 3β5 years of people management experience.
- Preferred: Experience working with thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.

Education

Additional Requirements
- Travel to all Representatives within the District as well as Area/National Meetings, as required.
- Overnight travel may be required; field travel is expected and may be inconsistent.
