Role Summary

Area Business Manager for Cell Therapy leads the Cell Therapy account management team at CAR-T sites, defining and executing the site-level account management strategy to achieve commercial objectives for cell therapy launches. The role drives revenue, referrals, and access across CAR-T sites, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver a differentiated patient experience. This field-based role covers NYC, Long Island, North Jersey and Central Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, organize and align resources to deliver the business plan; design appropriate performance metrics and achieve accountability
  • Develop Cell Therapy Account Managers; provide coaching and development for future professional growth
  • Drive revenue and referral strategy across the organization enabling community oncology/hematology centers to refer patients to CAR T certified sites
  • Evaluate staff deployment and territory assignments; conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency assessments
  • Monitor field activity to ensure balanced workloads; manage resources, budgets and expenses; oversee business operations
  • Collaborate with direct reports in the field and their assigned accounts
  • Support the creation and execution of individual development plans for team members
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and policies governing cell therapy activities

Qualifications

  • Required: 8+ years of sales experience, marketing, and/or commercial experience, with 5 years in Hematology or Oncology
  • Preferred: 5+ years of Sales and/or people management experience
  • Preferred: CAR-T experience
  • Preferred: Experience in hospital sales, academic and community settings
  • Preferred: Buy and bill reimbursement experience
  • Required: Key account management strategy experience in large, complex accounts, identifying influential stakeholders and collaborating to better serve patients
  • Required: Ability to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to implement key account strategies
  • Required: High degree of technical expertise and business acumen
  • Required: Strong analytical, consulting, and business planning skills to coach team on key imperatives
  • Required: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities; coach through ambiguity
  • Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective presentation ability
  • Required: Thorough understanding of U.S. compliance guidelines
  • Required: Ability to travel up to 60% and work independently
  • Required: Valid driver's license
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Required: Eligibility to drive a company-provided vehicle per company criteria (21+, valid license, acceptable driving risk)
