Role Summary

The Area Business Manager (ABM) for Allergy - Dupixent is responsible for engaging Allergists and other key customers within an assigned geography (Lexington, KY; Bristol, TN; Roanoke, VA) and presenting a clinically focused selling message to create and grow revenue and achieve product goals. The ABM will drive performance with integrity, meeting or exceeding individual business targets while complying with all policies governing promotion of pharmaceutical/biological products in the US. This role is remote/field-based and requires travel within the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Engage Allergy/Immunology customers within the assigned geographic territory and deliver a clinically focused message to introduce, launch, grow brand-share and revenue, and consistently meet product goals.
  • Collaborate with field-based stakeholders (e.g., Regeneron counterpart, Medical Science Liaisons, Field Access Specialists, Market Access teammates, Thought Leader Liaisons) to address customer needs, identify market dynamics, develop strategies, and ensure account success in the territory.
  • Develop strong relationships with asthma experts and Allergy/Immunology specialists, biologic coordinators, office staff, health care personnel, and patient advocacy groups as directed.
  • Identify opportunities and develop strategic business plans to drive product utilization and grow the territory.
  • Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
  • Manage the territory budget to support strategy execution and business growth.
  • Participate in initiatives to support sales success (e.g., industry congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).
  • Own business opportunities within the geographic area, coordinating with large group practices and other key targets to drive product results.
  • Establish relationships with thought leaders to drive industry-leading customer value.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Required: 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech medical device sales experience or other life science relevant experience (strongly preferred).
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information.
  • Required: Valid Driver’s License.
  • Required: Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary; travel within the assigned territory is expected 65-80% of the time.
  • Required: Proven success in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with integrity and in compliance guidelines.
  • Required: Ability to operate as a team player with collaboration partners and internal colleagues to reach goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable biologics (or office-administered IV) in a complex, competitive market.
  • 2+ years selling experience in asthma or other immunology disorders (e.g., atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis).
  • 2+ years selling experience calling on Allergists or Dermatologists.
  • Launch experience in specialty care and biologics.
  • Alliance/matrix partnership experience.
  • Advanced clinically based selling skills and a proven track record with product launches.
  • Experience in in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
  • Strong science curiosity and proactive learning in disease-state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
  • Highly organized with strong account-management skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Additional Requirements

  • Travel up to 65-80% of the time within the assigned territory.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
