Responsibilities:
- Lead Area sales team to exceed sales goals.
- Develop and manage annual sales budget and quarterly/annual expense budget; participate in annual incentive compensation programs.
- Implement national strategies; develop Area strategies to address Area challenges.
- Build a sales-organization-consistent culture.
- Lead with trust/values, execute through others, drive accountability, provide/receive feedback, and develop future talent.
- Set performance expectations; recruit/develop a high-performance team and take timely personnel actions.
- Develop RDS leadership and rare disease skill sets; create individual action plans for growth and career development.
- Conduct regular performance reviews; ensure timely completion of field contact forms.
- Conduct regular quarterly field contacts to support field messaging, compliance, success, and identify early warning signals.
- Execute responsibilities virtually or face-to-face.
- Collaborate with Managed Markets to implement and measure push/pull-through initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of top managed care plans via collaboration with Regional and National Account Directors.
- Partner with internal teams (marketing, training, medical, manage markets/market access, commercial operations, HR).
- Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams (Patient/Community Educators, Director of Residential Stakeholders, Regional Account Directors, Hybrid Sales Team).
- Support long-term sales objectives and sales-force planning with commercial leadership.
- Participate in home office activities (marketing, sales training, commercial operations).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required); advanced degree (preferred).
- 8+ years pharma experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Preferred: experience overseeing managers leading field-based teams.
- Prior rare disease experience.
- Experience launching and executing push/pull-through strategies.
- Experience leading academic/community market sales.
- 60% travel required.
- Exceptional analytic, influence, leadership, and inspirational abilities.
- Strong compliance background and training.

Salary Range: $240,000–$265,000.
