Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a division team of Area Business Managers (ABMs) in business-to-business selling; build trust and demonstrate value with customers.
- Develop divisional business plans by product, segment (e.g., independents, LOCs), and contracting modality (e.g., PBGs); set and drive impactable business targets.
- Strategically direct ABMs to acquire, expand, and retain targeted customer accounts across Pediatrics, Family/General Practice, IDN/IHNs, Health Systems, and Federally Qualified Health Centers.
- Implement ABM customer plans using promotion (including omnichannel) and analytics to improve efficiency in assigned geographies.
- Support prioritization across multiple customer segments; lead account performance by building robust, measurable account plans aligned to regional goals.
- Use account and territory data for business reviews and actionable plans.
- Navigate and communicate complex contracting and pricing to maintain/expand sales.
- Establish/track territory performance metrics; adjust plans as needed.
- Coach/train ABMs; identify opportunities and key points of contact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize account initiatives; coordinate implementation.
- Recruit, select, train, coach, and ensure appropriate staffing/competencies; maintain morale and support ABM development.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years related sales experience (preferably B2B and/or healthcare).
- 3–5 years first-line pharmaceutical sales leadership.
- Strong relationships with healthcare providers; leadership and coaching ability.
- Collaborative influence skills; strong customer-facing and negotiating skills.
- Inclusive mindset; role-model alignment with company values.
- Travel within division regularly (frequent overnight/weekend); valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced/master’s degree.
- Vaccine sales and/or buy-and-bill, distribution, administration, and reimbursement knowledge.
- Launch experience in last 4 years; executive value proposition experience; managed market/competitive landscape knowledge.
