ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify high-value, repeat scientific/analytical use cases for LLMs, agentic AI, and workflow automation to improve speed, quality, consistency, or accessibility across Inflammation & Immunology (I&I).
- Design, build, and refine reusable AI workflows, prompt/program structures, orchestration patterns, and agent-based tools supporting end-to-end scientific narratives.
- Partner with scientists, clinicians, computational biologists, and stakeholders to define fit-for-purpose solutions and iterate to operational adoption.
- Translate emerging LLM/agent capabilities into practical applications with methodological rigor, grounded usage, human-in-the-loop design, and reusable implementation.
- Contribute to evaluation, documentation, guardrails, and workflow-quality technical standards for trusted, reproducible use.
- Coordinate with the Digital ecosystem to leverage existing platforms and fit within Pfizer’s AI/data environment.
- Build AI fluency among collaborators through demonstrations and clear trade-off communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic: Bachelor’s + 6+ yrs OR Master’s + 5+ yrs OR PhD + 1+ yr. (Advanced degree in CS/ML/AI/comp bio/bioinformatics/stats/engineering or related field preferred.)
- Strong hands-on LLM/generative AI/ML experience applied to real workflows/products/analytical use cases.
- Proven ability to build reusable workflows/systems; strong Python and modern AI/ML tooling.
- Experience collaborating with domain users to translate ambiguous needs; strong communication.
- Sound judgment on rigor, limitations, evaluation, and appropriate human oversight.
- Preferred: life sciences/pharma/biotech/systems biology/immunology/omics experience; evidence synthesis/literature or retrieval-augmented/document workflows; agentic orchestration/prompt design/workflow automation/multimodal extensions; cross-disciplinary domain comfort.
