Application & Platform Security Architect

Role: Application & Platform Security Architect to develop and implement comprehensive information security strategies within AbbVie's IT environment. Responsibilities: define security architecture patterns, drive secure-by-design initiatives, evaluate application and infrastructure designs for security, develop implementation guidance, and integrate security into the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with IT, development, and security teams to assess risks, recommend security controls, and oversee secure deployment of cloud and containerized applications. Research emerging threats and maintain security standards aligned with regulations like GxP, SOX, and HIPAA. Requirements: Bachelor's degree plus 9 years, or Master's plus 8 years, or PhD plus 4 years in information security or related fields; deep expertise in application security principles, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), container security, identity management, and secure coding practices. Experience with security frameworks (ISO, NIST) and audit/compliance processes preferred.
