Application Engineer II (PAS-X) - SDF

Role: Manufacturing Systems Engineer responsible for ensuring reliable operation of local manufacturing applications within Novo Nordisk's Durham solid dosage facilities. Objectives include improving process control system reliability, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Responsibilities encompass acting as liaison with production and corporate teams, managing system upgrades, developing process improvements, troubleshooting issues, training stakeholders, supporting audits, and driving change management initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's in IT, Engineering, or related field; at least 8 years of experience in process manufacturing, utility, or packaging systems. Preferred skills include knowledge of PAS-X, POInT, PLC, SCADA, and project management expertise. High-value specifics: focus on process control systems within pharmaceutical manufacturing, supporting oral solid dose production for diabetes treatments, with an emphasis on GxP compliance, system optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. Work setup involves on-site presence with up to 10% travel, reporting to the Senior Project Manager – OFP.
