Role Summary
API Application Support Specialist (Hybrid) at AbbVie. Onsite in Lake County 3 days a week. Responsible for providing support across API and applications, evaluating current and new applications, and developing scalable architectures to support applications and interfaces, while acting as a Project Manager with waterfall or agile lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex issues, providing technical solutions to resolve challenges with software, hardware, or system functionality.
- Proactively monitor and suggest improvements to applications, tools, and processes to enhance lab efficiency, data accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Develop and maintain documentation for applications, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 6 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience; PhD with 0 years’ experience.
- Experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering (in addition to equivalent experience listed above, if applicable).
- Experience with API’s and providing technical application support in a large enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, ISO standards) and lab best practices.
- Solid experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, Trello, MS Project, etc.).
