Role Summary
Animal Care and Research Support Associate at Pfizer. Responsible for basic husbandry, handling, restraint and health surveillance of laboratory animals in compliance with local regulatory requirements, supporting research and veterinary staff, and performing essential animal care duties in alignment with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform regulatory responsibilities in compliance with applicable regulatory standards
- Perform routine animal husbandry duties as directed
- Observe and report status of animal health, food and water consumption, appearance, and behavior
- Provide support in basic veterinary medical treatment as prescribed by the veterinary staff
- Support cage wash equipment operations and maintenance
- Provide basic technical services (restraint, dose administration) to research investigators
- Work with all species housed at the site
- Comply with applicable welfare, ethical, and regulatory standards (e.g., AWA, GLP, PHS Policy, AAALAC)
Qualifications
- Must-Have: High school degree or GED required
- Must-Have: 2βΓΓ¬3 yearsβΓΓ΄ experience required
- Nice-to-Have: Experience in a pharmaceutical setting
- Nice-to-Have: Strong attention to detail
- Nice-to-Have: Excellent communication skills

Additional Requirements

- Measles immunity proof or vaccination before hire for access to nonhuman primate areas
- Weekend and holiday work required; shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, weekends every other week
- On-premise work location; essential personnel required to report during emergencies
