Principal Research Scientist (Dissolution Team – Formulation Development)

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead by example to foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the Dissolution Team
- Mentor and guide team members
- Create a positive, inclusive, high-performing team environment aligned with company core values
- Scientific Contributions:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and interpret dissolution studies for formulation development and regulatory submissions
- Justify clinically relevant dissolution method parameters/specifications
- Understand late-stage analytical deliverables (method development/validation, specification setting, stability, release testing, analytical strategies)
- Author dissolution sections for regulatory submissions
- Design validation protocols compliant with ICH and FDA guidelines
- Identify critical factors/parameters essential for robust method development and validation
- Problem Solving and Decision Making:
- Use critical thinking and scientific expertise to solve complex problems
- Participate in discussions to enable data-driven decisions
- Continuous Learning and Growth:
- Stay current on dissolution science and analytical chemistry trends/technologies/best practices
- Seek professional development and apply new knowledge; build leadership skills
- Operational Excellence:
- Meet timelines with urgency; deliver high-quality results
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies; contribute to SOPs/best practices

Education And Experience
- Ph.D. (Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Pharmaceutical Chemistry) with 4–7 years; or Master’s with 7+ years; or Bachelor’s with 10+ years
- Ability to learn and apply new scientific concepts/techniques
- Interpersonal skills; ability to foster collaboration across teams
- Ability to lead/mentor/inspire; desire to grow into managerial role

Pay Range
- $140,800 - $211,200
