Principal Research Scientist (Dissolution Team, Formulation Development)
General Summary:
- Lead and advance dissolution science to support formulation development and regulatory submissions, with strong leadership and continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead by example; foster collaboration/innovation/excellence; mentor team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design, execute, and interpret dissolution studies.
- Justify dissolution method parameters/specifications; understand late-stage analytical deliverables (method development, validation, specifications, stability, release testing, analytical strategy).
- Author dissolution sections for regulatory submissions.
- Design validation protocols compliant with ICH and FDA guidelines; identify critical non-guideline factors.
- Use critical thinking to solve complex problems and support data-driven decisions.
- Stay current on dissolution/analytical chemistry best practices; seek professional development.
- Deliver high-quality results on timeline; ensure regulatory and company compliance; contribute to SOPs/best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Pharmaceutical Chemistry with 4β7 years experience, or MS with 7+ years, or BS with 10+ years.
- Demonstrated ability to learn/apply new scientific concepts; strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and collaboration.
- Proven ability to lead/mentor and grow into a managerial role; passion for innovation and results in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Range:
- $140,800β$211,200; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
