Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for mass spectrometry-based proteomics characterization and perform biological pathway & bioinformatics analysis (TMT and label-free quantification; data-dependent and independent acquisitions; sub-cellular fractionations; PTM enrichments, etc.).
- Conduct proteomics experiments on different cell types (including stem cells, differentiated cells, and different cellular compartments) and profile post-translational modifications using varied sample preparation and MS fragmentation techniques.
- Perform proteomics data analysis (protein identification, quantitation, statistical and pathway analysis).
- Integrate proteomics with other omics datasets (e.g., transcriptomics, metabolomics) using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods to analyze complex multi-omics/epigenetics datasets.
- Provide expertise in experimental design, data analysis, assay troubleshooting, technical report writing, and presentations; generate actionable insights for process development, product optimization, and regulatory submissions.
- Interface with external vendors/partners; manage external sample testing and review/analyze data as needed.
- Author analytical method, qualification, and validation reports; author data summary reports; maintain documentation, ensure data quality, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with research and process development to develop fit-for-purpose analytical characterization methods for target optimization, product characterization, and product investigations.
Knowledge And Skills (Qualifications)
- Strong hands-on LC-MS proteomics experience with Orbitrap mass spectrometers (required).
- Advanced proteomics sample preparation experience (protein isolation, sub-cellular fractionation, histone extraction, immuno- or chemical affinity purification) (required).
- Label-free and TMT multiplex quantification (required).
- Proteomics data analysis and multi-omics integration using commercially available software; DIA and DDA preferred.
- Single-cell proteomics experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of stem cell biology; stem cell culturing/handling/differentiation is a plus.
- Ability to independently digest and draw conclusions using orthogonal analytical results.
- Experience writing SOPs, analytical protocols, and reports; strong communication skills; cross-functional collaboration.
Education And Experience
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) with 0โ3 years post-doctoral experience, or
- Masterโs (or equivalent) with 3+ years relevant experience, or
