Role: Analytical chemist in Lilly's synthetic molecule development team, focusing on analytical method development and chemical characterization to support drug candidate progression from early development to manufacturing readiness. Responsibilities: develop and optimize chromatographic (HPLC, GC, LC-MS) methods for assessing purity, potency, and impurities; evaluate stability under stressed conditions; collaborate with synthetic chemists and process engineers to ensure analytical methods are suitable for GMP transfer; troubleshoot and maintain analytical instrumentation; contribute scientific expertise and communicate findings. Requirements: BSc or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field; experience with chromatographic method development/validation in regulated industry; authorized to work in the U.S. without visa support. Preferred: knowledge of mass spectrometry (LC-MS, GC-MS), NMR spectroscopy; familiarity with chemical process development and synthetic organic chemistry; troubleshooting skills; leadership qualities.
