Role Summary
Analyst, Finance supporting expense forecasting for the sales and marketing department, developing and maintaining forecasting models, analyzing variances, and ensuring alignment with business plans and financial controls. Responsible for preparing expense and P&L analyses and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify efficiency opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support the expense forecasting process for the sales and marketing department by working with finance, sales, and marketing teams.
- Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining forecasting models for business expenses.
- Analyze variances between actual and forecasted expenses, highlighting key trends and providing insights.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc expense reports for management review.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure forecasts align with business plans and objectives.
- Help identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- Monitor expense trends and flag potential risks or areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and controls.
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing P&L statements to ensure comprehensive financial oversight.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure forecasts and P&L analyses align with business plans and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 1β3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, expense forecasting, and/or P&L management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling (experience with tools such as SAP, BPC a plus).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
