About The Role
- Serves as the primary alliance manager for assigned partnerships, accountable for driving alliance performance, governance, and cross-functional execution.
- Leads strategic and operational alignment across internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of collaboration objectives, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)
- Own end-to-end alliance management for 2–4 strategic partnerships, ensuring delivery against contractual, operational, and business objectives
- Lead alliance governance, including Joint Steering Committees and cross-functional working groups (agenda-setting, decision-making, alignment on priorities and risks)
- Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders (R&D, Legal, Finance, Clinical, Regulatory, CMC) to drive execution of alliance deliverables and resolve complex issues
- Identify, assess, and resolve complex operational and relational challenges within alliances
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and alliance agreements
- Drive accountability for alliance deliverables (timely execution; visibility to milestones, risks, performance metrics)
- Lead initiatives to enhance alliance management processes, tools, and best practices
- Contribute to alliance strategy and long-term planning by providing insights on partnership performance, risks, and opportunities
- Prepare alliance status updates and reports
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- BS/BA in a scientific or business field and 6+ years of experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical scientific or alliance management
- Master’s degree and 4+ years similar experience
- PhD and 2+ years similar experience
- High attention to detail
- Demonstrated success with PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft suite
- Ability to adapt to technology and collaboration tools
- Ability to work as contributor and leader
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Comfortable handling complex relationships and resolving conflict
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate proactively
- Good project management skills
- Functional expertise in biotechnology/pharmaceutical scientific discipline, business development, or alliance management
- Cross-functional leadership and trusted-partner capability across internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions
- Experience working with contracts and knowledge of legal terminology
- Working knowledge of small molecule and biologics drug discovery and development
- Experience collaborating with global teams
- Understanding of accounting and finance principles
