Role Summary:
Vertex is seeking a Principal level Analyst in the AI Program Management team to lead the development and execution of enterprise AI capabilities that improve business processes and operational efficiency. Focus areas include digital assistants, agentic orchestration of end-to-end business processes, and intelligent workflow solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document requirements for AI-enabled products and agents.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for engineering.
- Support design, development, and refinement of AI agents, intelligent automation, and workflow solutions.
- Collaborate with product leadership to operationalize product strategy and align execution with priorities.
- Work cross-functionally (engineering, data, design, business) to meet user and business objectives.
- Create documentation (user stories, process maps) to enable implementation and change management.
- Support backlog refinement, feature definition, acceptance criteria, and delivery readiness.
- Assist with testing, validation, and rollout to ensure quality, adoption, and value.
- Monitor feedback and usage trends for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
- 8+ years in product management, business analysis, process design, digital transformation, or related.
- Individual contributor experience in cross-functional product/technology teams.
- Proven ability to gather requirements and translate into functional requirements/user stories.
- Experience with AI/automation/digital workflow/intelligent agent solutions.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and agile.
- Experience with process design and workflow mapping.
- Excellent communication/facilitation/stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical thinking; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Technical & Functional Skills:
Product management (AI-enabled), requirements gathering, AI agents/intelligent automation, workflow design, Agile/Scrum, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, change/adoption support, testing/rollout coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft AI ecosystem (Azure AI, Copilot, Power Platform).
- Experience with LLM providers/models and enterprise tradeoffs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude).
- Agent-based workflows/conversational AI/automation platforms.
- Life sciences/healthcare/regulatory experience.
- Change management experience; Jira/Confluence or similar; concept-to-launch with engineering.

Compensation:
- Pay range: $154,300 - $231,400 (eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards).
