Position Responsibilities
- Partner with scientists to understand data capture, analysis, and reporting requirements, including digitizing paper-based processes.
- Develop data products and custom applications to support downstream AI/ML use cases, automation, and data contextualization.
- Develop data analysis and system integration pipelines.
- Support GMP compliance activities for custom data products/applications (where applicable).
- Onboard scientists to data applications/platforms; organize workshops/training as needed.
- Partner with robotics/automation teams to understand data needs.
- Curate and integrate datasets from external domains.
- Implement, test, and validate new data analysis and visualization methods.
Basic Qualifications
- BS (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science or related) + 4+ years in software development for embedded systems/data operations.
- OR Master’s + 2+ years in embedded/data operations.
- Recent PhD graduate in a related technical discipline.
- Experience with data handling, integration, and analysis.
- Strong SQL and cloud data warehouse experience.
- Experience building data products/integration solutions (research or industry).
- Ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner.
- Exceptional programming skills in a systems language (e.g., C, C#, Java, Go) and Python.
- Strong verbal/written presentation communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Software engineering/package development, cloud architectures, CI/CD, software tooling.
- Scientific Python stack libraries.
- Github Copilot/AI-enabled coding tools.
- Prototype to production experience.
- Regulated industry & software validation practices.
Work Conditions / Benefits (as stated)
- Hybrid; ~2.5 days/week on-site; travel <10%.
- Bonus target: 15% of base salary; 401(k) with matching; retirement savings contribution; paid vacation/holidays/personal days, caregiver/parental/medical leave, and medical/dental/vision.
