Position Summary
- Scientist focused on developing parenteral drug product formulations for protein, peptide, oligonucleotides and other novel modalities through clinical development; building platforms for new therapeutic modalities and advancing formulation and drug delivery strategies.

Responsibilities
- Represent Drug Product team in CMC teams; support formulation and process development.
- Conduct hands-on formulation experiments to support clinical parenteral products.
- Build process capabilities from lab scale through early-phase clinical scale and scale up.
- Support tech transfer of process and formulation to clinical manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (synthetic chemistry, toxicology, ADME, analytical, device teams) to develop stable, patient-centric drug products.
- Support mAb, protein, and peptide programs as needed.
- Provide technical support in formulation and drug delivery.
- Partner with discovery and drug product delivery/device teams; enable seamless handoff from discovery to clinical development.
- Innovate/assess formulation methodologies for complex/unstable bioproducts.
- Identify/spearhead research on targeted drug delivery technologies and establish proof of concept.
- Leverage relationships with academia/start-ups; drive innovation via publications/presentations.

Basic Requirements
- BS or MS in Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience.
- Experience developing processes and analytical characterization for large molecules/biological materials.
- Knowledge of parenteral formulation development, parenteral manufacturing, aseptic technologies, and/or drug product process development.

Additional Preferences
- PhD with up to 5 years industry experience; publications in relevant therapeutic development.
- Lab automation and high-throughput formulation screening experience.
