Research Advisor/Sr. Advisor β AI for Science (ADMET Intelligence)
Position Summary
- Reimagine the next generation of drug discovery at Lilly using AI/ML at the intersection of chemistry and biology. Geography is flexible.
What You Will Do
- Drive drug discovery programs by developing/applying innovative AI/ML models.
- Collaborate with experimental scientists to connect computational predictions with lab experiments; support hypothesis testing and iterate between modeling and experimental results.
- Lead scientific foundation models integrating molecular design and biological data to support decision-making across the drug discovery pipeline.
- Publish in top-tier venues and represent Lilly in the global AI4Science community.
- Work with MLOps and Data Engineering partners to transition prototypes into scalable tools and build reusable, reliable AI/ML solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computational Chemistry/Biology, Physics, or a scientific field.
- First-author publications in high-impact journals or top-tier ML conferences.
- Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and molecular-data architectures (e.g., GNNs, Transformers).
Preferred Qualifications
- Translate chemistry/biology problems into ML formulations.
- Collaborate with lab scientists to develop AI/ML solutions that drive experimentation and model refinement.
Compensation/Benefits (eligible)
- Anticipated wage: $151,500β$244,200; company bonus; benefits including 401(k), pension, vacation, medical/dental/vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, time off/leave, and well-being benefits.
