Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent scientific and technical leadership to drive early discovery research focused on osteoporosis and skeletal biology (target evaluation, hypothesis generation, mechanism-based therapeutic strategies).
- Maintain a hands-on laboratory presence, developing and executing in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models and assays to support preclinical drug discovery.
- Design and conduct experiments for target validation, preclinical pharmacology, and mechanism-of-action studies focused on bone remodeling and skeletal integrity.
- Serve as a core biology lead within cross-functional project teams, partnering with medicinal chemistry, translational, and safety colleagues.
- Function independently while contributing effectively in a team-oriented lab environment.
- Provide scientific mentorship and supervision to 1–2 scientists (performance feedback and career development support).
- Ensure high data quality and scientific rigor (accurate documentation, independent analysis, clear written/oral communication).
- Work in full compliance with research policies, safety requirements, and training expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in biology, biophysics, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related STEM; OR
- Master’s degree in related STEM with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.

Additional Skills / Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in bone biology (osteoblast/osteoclast, bone remodeling, endocrine regulation of skeletal health).
- 2 years post-doc training.
- Hands-on experience with preclinical in vivo osteoporosis models and supporting in vitro/ex vivo systems.
- Track record implementing/advancing novel assays or research platforms.
- Strong scientific communication; experience presenting in multidisciplinary settings.
- Initiative, sound judgment, and comfort operating under ambiguity.
- Experience across osteoporosis and women’s health disorders (e.g., endometriosis, preeclampsia, PCOS, menopause-related research) is a plus.
