Your Role:
- Turn proprietary scientific data into predictive models to guide drug discovery and development decisions using molecular, in vitro, ADMET, and imaging data (for target identification, molecular optimization, digital biomarkers, and endpoint prediction).
Responsibilities:
- Lead ML/CV work for key R&D programs by defining modeling problems with clear success criteria.
- Design, build, and validate ML/CV models (CNNs, transformers, graph neural networks, generative approaches) on multi-modal data (molecular, assay, imaging, behavioral).
- Shape data collection, annotation, and synthetic data usage (capture protocols, labeling standards, quality checks); evaluate augmentation while managing bias and risk.
- Operationalize models in R&D workflows (e.g., build/deploy in Databricks) and influence standards for reproducibility, documentation, monitoring, and model governance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship; lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate results to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD in a quantitative field, or Masterβs with substantial hands-on ML/CV experience.
- 7+ years industry experience building/deploying ML/CV models for scientific problems (biomedical/pharma/related) with impact and close wet-lab/clinical collaboration.
- Strong Python; PyTorch/TensorFlow/scikit-learn/OpenCV; solid statistics/experimental design; cross-functional communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Animal health/pharma/biotech R&D experience; impactful applications (chemoinformatics, bioinformatics, digital biomarkers).
- Neural network/generative model expertise; Databricks and MLOps operationalization in scaled environments.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and influence in complex global orgs.
