Responsibilities

• Apply and create innovative synthetic methodologies to enable novel small molecule design and inform fast-paced SAR iterations
• Design and synthesize novel small molecules, optimizing lead compounds for potency, selectivity, physicochemical properties and DMPK
• Leverage structure-based drug design technologies with computational chemistry/biophysics to understand protein-ligand interactions and support de novo molecular design
• Collaborate across disciplines (pharmacology, translational science, ADME, toxicology) to address program needs and provide Medicinal Chemistry perspectives

Qualifications

• Minimum: PhD in organic chemistry; Masters with 7-10+ years of experience

Skills

• Strong Synthetic Organic Chemistry skills with deep knowledge of modern methods, purification techniques, and structural analysis
• Ability to stay current with literature on chemical transformations
• Scientific creativity and independent problem-solving through careful experimental design and data analysis
• Track record of contributions (peer-reviewed publications, patents, presentations)
• Excellent English communication skills, ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, international environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and scientific data tools (SciFinder, Reaxys, etc.)
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude
